Hi Maria Chiara,
thanks for your comment on my blog. I visited yours (as you suggested me), I agree with you about the predominance of the communicative dimension that we have both highlighted. I also think that you have written many interesting observations, and I admire your critical ability (I think that the picture and the color of your blog, which is very nice, express your personality, a warm methodical and reflective person). Moreover your analysis is well organized and interesting to read. In particular I liked when you wrote about the "online community" and the "multidirectional" rather than "bidirectional" aspect of blogging communication. Another good point is when you wrote about the “democratic nature” of the blog and the “bloggers club”, the fact that what we write on a blog is addressed to everyone. Finally I agree with you when you mentioned the “innovatory teaching method” which “fosters team work and collaboration among student”. I think that this “innovatory teaching method” stimulates students to improve their English without being too much afraid of making mistakes!
My compliments!!!

See you soon, kisses

Hi Mariachiara!
I'd like to comment on your personal blog because I've found that what you have written about your first impressions of blogging is very interesting and I perfectly agree with you on some points.
Like you I think the importance and utility of a blog lies in the possibility to focus our attention on the COMMUNICATIVE FUNCTION of language. This function doesn't mean you have only to pay attention to formal English..we should become familiar with COLLOQUIAL English too!!This is a stimulating challenge!
I like your idea of a blog as a multidirectional and continous exchange of ideas and impressions.(it reminds me of the simile of the blog as a river..have you read it on my blog?)
In my opinion, the sensation of being part of a community of people who can discuss about different subjects it is the most appealing aspect of the blogosphere and the reason of its popularity!
As you have pointed out, everyone should feel free to express his/herself or better, remembering Francesca's words,to start working at their work of art!

Dear Maria Chiara,
I found your reflections very stimulating; you've written what I think, but it's so important to hear it from the student's point of view. I also agree with and appreciate your comments, Francesca and Annalisa.
