Blogging etiquette

Since none of you have blogged before, I think it might be a good idea to go over a little etiquette for blogging. Etiquette involves basic rules like 'always sign your name', 'always cite your sources', 'don't be offensive', etc. Take a look at these resources then please send a comment with what you consider the 5 most important rules for blogging. These are, obviously, just 3 resources. If you find any others that are better, please send us the urls!

Hello Everybody!
I visited the 3 resources above...It's difficult to find other rules for blogging, I'll tell you the most important for me, just for what is my experience on blog (2 weeks..the beginning of this course).
- introduce yourself and a make a general greeting when you write a new post;
- write all your blog in colours and visible letters;
- divide your post in little paragraphs;
- read other contributors' comments on your post and if they point you out some mistakes, go back on your post and correct it.
- don't be shy and be open-minded (tihs is my opinion)
Bye

Svjetlana's comment on blog etiquette
I've already finished to take a look at this resources (one blog post on etiquette for the blogging nation, top 10 weblog ethics, a learner's impression of blogs) and I think that the five most important rules for blogging are:
1.) write correctly and use a proper layout
2.) try to be interesting, creative and different from others
3.) always identify yourself properly
4.) check if information we are about to write is correct and always link the source
5.) comments should be interesting and thoughtful, and not offensive

Hello everybody!!

I've not a great experience in the use of blogs..so I try to find more about what the most important rules for an inexperienced blogger are:

1.identify yourself properly: this means also don't forget to sign your name!!
2.try to use a clear and proper layout: write your blog in visible letter, use a simple and correct language, divide the text into small paragraphs.
3.don't forget to give a title to every new post or comment you write
4.always credit your sources
5.never leave spam comments: they are so irritating!!

bye

Goodmorning people!
Since I'm not very well-informed about blog etiquette, I asked to a friend of mine what the main rules of etiquette are. She has a blog and so she's very well-ready about it. Then I compare what she said to me to what I read on the links and I've decided that in my opinion the most important rules for blogging are:
1. Don't be offensive, there's no reason for being it.
2. Never leave spam comments: they are very annoying
3. Use a simple and informal language
4. Put a title which could catch the reader's attention
5. Credit your sources

Bye

Hi everybody!

I don’t have a great experience in blogging but I know that it is important to follow some rules; in my opinion the most important are:

1. Identify yourself properly; this means that you have to sign your name;
2. Try to be concise, use a simple and straightforward language and be communicative, you have to involve the reader as much as possible;
3. The title has to attract the reader’s attention and curiosity;
4. Pay attention to the layout, divide the text into paragraphs;
5. Credit your sources.

That’s all for the moment,
bye bye

Hello everyone!

I've just visited the three websites on blogging etiquette, and I think that the most important rules for blogging are:

1- Always identify yourself;
2- Make it possible for your readers to contact you in order to express their opinion: give a link to your e-mail or to a comment section;
3- Always cite your sources and make sure that the information you provide is correct;
4- Don't be offensive or rude;
5- Don't post comments only in order to promote your own blog: it's rude!

Bye
Elisa
